Caregiver Diaries – Episode 13

Here is a story about an invisible warrior, who along with her husband – a Parkinson’s patient for over 16 years, overcomes new obstacles each day. The uncertainty of what the illness would bring was one such challenge. She observes how her husband started to withdraw, a complete contrast in his personality. Their children too found it difficult to see their father push them away.

“It was difficult for me to cope… I could see no light at the end of the tunnel, I survived only because I had so much support from our loved ones.”

Hope, support from friends and family, and counseling helped make life better. Following a routine and practicing yoga are few things she does for her own well-being.
