Welcome to the 6th Episode of Caregiver Diaries: Season 2!
Here is a story about an invisible warrior, who was a long distance caregiver to her father, who suffered from Parkinson’s for almost 26 years.. Just like any of us, she also goes through low points emotionally, where she feels sad and stressed and questions everything. She realizes that life does change drastically and you suddenly lose someone you treasured and turned to at every point in life, but understanding that accepting it and dealing with in the right way, makes it easier.
“It’s a massive void because it’s that one person who you thought you could share anything with, who you thought would never leave you and who was your support all your life, and suddenly you’re left without that, it’s like suddenly you wake up and feel like you can’t breathe.”
Acceptance, understanding, and a whole lot of support from both sides of the family is what helps her through these tough times. Hear her talk about her ongoing experience and how accepting what life throws your way, goes a long way!
