Individual Stress and Burnout Assessment Tool

The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health as ‘a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity’ (WHO, 1948). This definition links health explicitly with well-being and conceptualises health as a human right requiring physical and social resources to achieve and maintain. ‘Well-being’ refers to a positive rather than neutral state, framing health as a positive aspiration.

Our overall well-being has various elements and given the overwhelming, stressful and often traumatic circumstances of a caregiver, they are heightened in the case of a caregiver. The Individual Stress/Burnout Assessment (ISBA)® tool is designed by Caregiver Saathi™ as a dipstick assessment of overall stress levels/ propensity for burnout incorporating various elements of overall well-being. The tool provides an assessment of which elements are replenishing and which are stressful in a caregiver’s life.  This tool will enable participants to pinpoint those aspects that they need to focus on to improve those aspects of their well-being. To know about caregiver burnout symptoms: Click here!

The ISBA® is based on various elements of well-being, adapted from the seminal research done by Caregiver Saathi™. Our research shows that overall well-being is comprised of distinct individual, yet inter-related components. These elements of well-being include Psychological, Physiological, Social, Financial / Legal aspects as well as Creative Expression, Work and Life Purpose and Sexual well-being.  See More! This dipstick tool is for use for both Family Caregivers as well as Health Care Practitioners. Essentially, individuals in active caregiving roles and immediate family well-wishers who find themselves in high-stress environments.

The ISBA® Tool comprises questions that help assess stress levels across all the elements of well-being.  Your responses will be analysed by the Caregiver Saathi team and we will provide you with a customised report (Free for now!). The scores on each element are directional and are intended to determine the most impacted elements. Our report will provide tips on overall well-being and also enable the implementation of lifestyle practices in those identified high-stress elements. The objective is to empower caregivers to consciously, intentionally and mindfully create a unique and personal approach to their overall well-being.

All the information provided and the report would be kept completely confidential.
